This type of fence post is typically punched on only one side, as this type of post has been used for marking the end line of fencing. It has to be noted that end posts are different from terminal posts, though they have functional similarities.

Corner Posts

Fencing would not be completed without installing sturdy and well balanced corner posts. Corner post can be easily, as it is generally larger than the line posts. It is larger, as it withstands high pressure.

Line Posts

Line posts are basically intermediate posts that are installed to support the barb wire or top rail. Typically, line posts are placed with 10 feet or lesser distance between them.

Gate Posts

The posts that are attached with the hinges and latches of a gate are known as gate posts. Depending upon the situation, for better space management, gate posts are also used as the terminal posts.

Terminal Posts

As the name suggests, a terminal post is generally the end post. However, it can also be gate post, pull post and corner post. In a fencing model, terminal post acts as the basic load bearing post, from where the line of fencing has been stretched.

Pull Posts

In our article, the last type of fence posts are pull posts. Pull post is typically used, when you want to create a fence along a steep grade. These types of fences are often called as ‘stair fences’, as they are used for fencing the stair cases. Along with line posts, there could be found a terminal post at the end of stair case.
